Honors Housing

We are pleased to partner with University Housing and Dining on an honors housing option located in Rider Hall in for the 2026-2027 academic year! Connected by a shared hallway, spaces will be available in Larrabee House (female) or Boies House (male). Space is limited; honors standing makes you eligible to select a room in the honors community if space is available when your University Housing-assigned selection time opens.  

The Honors Community in Rider Hall gives you the opportunity to:

• Create a “home away from home” with your fellow honors students
• Develop close relationships with students who share your commitment to education
• Contribute to the honors community and shape the future of honors housing at UNI​

Rooms in the Honors Community enable a group of honors students to live in close proximity to each other. Every effort will be made to assign honors roommates within the community, but University Housing reserves the right to assign non-honors students to open spaces.

Please note: the Honors Community is a housing option, not a requirement.
