How has HSP participation enhanced your college experience at UNI? My participation in the Honors & Scholars Programs has improved my college experience by exposing me to new viewpoints and intellectual challenges. The connections I've made with students from different backgrounds and majors have encouraged me to see problems and solutions from a new perspective.
What is your favorite part about being in HSP? My favorite part of the Honors & Scholars Program is the chance to take classes that don’t align with my major. These classes let me explore topics I find interesting while also benefiting my academic learning. The program ignites my imagination and curiosity, giving me a creative outlet that enriches my computer science studies. The classes available to me create an environment where I can grow as a thinker and learner in ways that are both challenging and refreshing.
How has your HSP experience prepared you for life after UNI? My experience in the Honors & Scholars Program has prepared me for life after UNI by broadening my understanding and helping me develop a more open, adaptable mindset. The program allowed me to participate in and actively learn from experiences I wouldn’t have otherwise encountered. In everyday life, I can draw on a variety of ideas and knowledge to approach problems critically and creatively because of what I've learned in the Honors & Scholars Program.
