How has HSP participation enhanced your college experience at UNI? Being part of HSP has allowed me to take control of the direction of my education. It has not only allowed me but encouraged me to be creative with how I learn. Through HSP, I've completed multiple job shadows and explored different areas in my field. Additionally, HSP introduced me to people outside of my major and my typical circles and those people have become some of my best friends in college. In all aspects: education, friendships, opportunities, and support systems, HSP has improved my UNI experience!
How has your HSP experience prepared you for life after UNI? I am attending graduate school after I graduate spring 2025. HSP has prepared me by opening up doors to design ways to educate myself in my field in ways I wouldn’t have been able to without them. The job shadowing project I did for HSP taught me a lot and helped prepare me for graduate school and beyond. HSP staff members have helped me navigate the process of graduate school and introduced me to upperclassmen that have been the biggest help. Overall HSP helped ease my worries surrounding graduate applications through the endless support and help from the HSP community!
