How has Legacy participation enhanced your college experience at UNI? Legacy Scholars helped me find clarity in my career path. I didn't have anyone in the medical field to guide me, but through the program I connected with the anesthesia department and confirmed that nurse anesthesia is the right fit for me. The mentorship gave me a strong foundation and a network of people who helped me understand the steps to get there.
What is your favorite part about being in Legacy? My favorite part about being in Legacy is the sense of community and support. Being surrounded by other students who are also preparing for graduate and professional school has helped me stay motivated and focused. I've built meaningful connection, found mentorship, and gained clarity in my career path.
How has you Legacy experience prepared you for life after UNI? Legacy helped me grow into a more confident and prepared version of myself. It pushed me to think beyond the classroom and focus on long-term goals like graduate school and clinical leadership. I learned how to communicate professionally, advocate for my future, and build relationships with mentors who kept me on track and supported me.
