How has HSP participation enhanced your college experience at UNI? The Honors and Scholars Program has given me so many opportunities throughout my time at UNI. I have been able to make so many new connections through HSP. Because of this program I am more involved on campus than I could have ever imagined. I was able to be part of Greek Life at UNI and join many clubs related to my major without needing to worry about working to support myself due to being awarded the Bright Scholars award. I am able to get the full college experience while being able to focus on my studies.
How has your HSP experience prepared you for life after UNI? With the help of the Bright Scholars award, I am able to graduate college debt free. This is something that I have always dreamed of but never imagined possible. I have also gained more leadership skills through the Honors and Scholars Program. Being able to help incoming students feel welcomed on campus and giving a sense of community is really important to me. As a future teacher it is important that I have these skills going into my profession.
