Career Goal: I would love to be a high school Spanish teacher helping in my school’s fine arts department, specifically theatre and speech.

How has HSP participation enhanced your college experience at UNI? My HSP participation has allowed me to make meaningful connections not only with the content I’m learning, but also my classmates. I know that I have people that I can rely on within the program when unexpected things may arise, both the positive and not so positive. These experiences also build character and help me challenge myself.

How has your HSP experience prepared you for life after UNI? My HSP experience has really broadened how I feel about the things I can accomplish, as well as realizing that there are so many great resources to utilize in the future when it comes to job seeking or how to effectively collaborate with others. I feel that I’m more confident as a person now that I’ve taken classes and have been involved in various aspects of HSP. I believe that HSP has prepared me for life after UNI in so many ways, from forming new ideas and strengthening communication to how to recognize the things I need to thrive and how to help others as well.
